LIFETIME WARRANTY

Lifetime Warranty – Jewelry

FENNO jewellery is covered by our Lifetime Jewellery Warranty against confirmed defects affecting the finish, construction or normal function of the item.

What Is Covered

Subject to inspection and the conditions below, the Lifetime Jewellery Warranty may cover:

  • abnormal tarnishing or fading of the finish;
  • manufacturing defects in the jewellery;
  • defective clasps, links or fastenings;
  • breakage caused by a manufacturing or assembly defect;
  • a covered defect that occurs during normal and intended use.

Where a valid claim is confirmed, FENNO will determine the most appropriate solution based on the nature of the issue and the availability of the original item.

This may include:

  • repair;
  • replacement of the affected item;
  • replacement with a reasonably comparable item if the original product is no longer available;
  • another appropriate solution where repair or replacement is not reasonably possible.

What Is Not Covered

Unless required under applicable consumer law, the Lifetime Jewellery Warranty does not cover:

  • loss or theft;
  • scratches, dents or other cosmetic wear;
  • gradual changes caused by normal wear and ageing;
  • damage caused by pulling, crushing, impact or an accident;
  • intentional damage;
  • damage caused by another person;
  • exposure to chemicals, perfume, cosmetics, cleaning products, chlorine or salt water;
  • improper use, neglect or incorrect storage;
  • damage caused by unauthorised repair, alteration or modification;
  • loss of stones, pendants or individual components caused by impact or improper use;
  • damage caused by failing to follow the applicable care instructions.

Normal wear differs from a manufacturing defect and is not automatically covered by the commercial warranty.

Fair-Use Policy

The Lifetime Jewellery Warranty is intended to protect customers against genuine covered defects. It is not an unlimited replacement programme for loss, accidental damage, misuse or normal wear.

Claims may be refused where there are reasonable indications of:

  • repeated misuse;
  • intentional damage;
  • fraudulent claims;
  • claims concerning an item other than the original purchased product;
  • excessive or unreasonable use of the warranty.

Each claim is assessed individually.

Lifetime Movement Warranty – Watches

Every FENNO watch is protected by our Two-Year Standard Warranty. After that period, the internal automatic movement remains covered by our Lifetime Movement Warranty, subject to the terms below.

Two-Year Standard Warranty

Every FENNO watch includes a two-year commercial warranty from the original date of purchase.

During this period, FENNO covers confirmed manufacturing and workmanship defects affecting the watch under normal and intended use, including:

  • manufacturing defects in the automatic movement;
  • internal mechanical faults not caused by misuse;
  • defects affecting the hands or dial;
  • faults caused by defective assembly or workmanship.

Where a valid warranty claim is confirmed, FENNO will arrange an appropriate remedy, which may include repair or replacement.

Lifetime Movement Warranty

After the two-year standard warranty period, the internal automatic movement of your FENNO watch remains covered against confirmed manufacturing defects for the lifetime of the product.

The Lifetime Movement Warranty applies only to internal mechanical faults that:

  • originate from a manufacturing or assembly defect;
  • prevent the automatic movement from functioning as intended;
  • occurred during normal and intended use;
  • were not caused by impact, misuse, moisture, modification or unauthorised repair.

This warranty applies specifically to the internal automatic movement. It is not a lifetime warranty covering every component of the watch.

What Is Not Covered

Unless required under applicable consumer law, the commercial watch warranties do not cover:

  • normal wear and ageing;
  • scratches, dents or cosmetic discolouration;
  • accidental damage, impact or crushing;
  • broken or scratched glass caused by impact;
  • damage to the bracelet, clasp, crown or case caused by use or impact;
  • loss or theft;
  • water or moisture damage caused by use outside the confirmed water-resistance conditions;
  • damage caused by incorrect bracelet adjustment;
  • misuse, neglect or improper storage;
  • repairs, alterations or opening of the watch by an unauthorised third party;
  • faults caused by parts or accessories not supplied or approved by FENNO;
  • straps, tools or other removable accessories, unless the issue concerns a confirmed manufacturing defect.

    Every FENNO watch is protected by our Two-Year Standard Warranty. After that period, the internal automatic movement remains covered by our Lifetime Movement Warranty, subject to the terms below.

How to Submit a Warranty Claim

To submit a claim, please contact:

support@fennoamsterdam.com

Please include:

  • your full name;
  • your order number or another valid form of proof of purchase;
  • a brief description of the issue;
  • clear photographs of the item;
  • a short video where this helps demonstrate the fault.

We may ask you to return the product for inspection before confirming whether the issue is covered.

Please do not send an item to us before receiving return instructions.

Assessment and Resolution

Every warranty claim is assessed individually.

Submitting a claim does not automatically mean the issue is covered. FENNO must first inspect the information provided and, where necessary, the physical product.

Where a covered defect is confirmed, the appropriate solution may include:

  • repair;
  • replacement;
  • replacement with a reasonably comparable product;
  • another appropriate remedy where repair or replacement is not reasonably possible.

The selected remedy depends on:

  • the nature of the defect;
  • whether repair is technically possible;
  • the availability of replacement parts;
  • whether the original model remains available;
  • the rights available to the customer under applicable consumer law.

A customer is not required to accept store credit where applicable consumer law provides a different remedy.

Meaning of “Lifetime”

For the purposes of the Lifetime Jewellery Warranty and Lifetime Movement Warranty, “lifetime” refers to the reasonable service life of the original product under normal and intended use.

It does not refer to the lifetime of the purchaser and does not guarantee that:

  • identical products;
  • colours;
  • models;
  • components;
  • replacement parts;

will remain available indefinitely.

Where an identical replacement is unavailable, FENNO may offer a reasonably comparable alternative, subject to the customer’s applicable legal rights.

Original Purchaser and Proof of Purchase

The commercial warranties apply to the original purchaser of an eligible product purchased directly from FENNO or an authorised FENNO sales channel.

Reasonable proof of purchase is required. This may include:

  • an order confirmation;
  • an invoice;
  • a payment record;
  • another form of evidence that reasonably demonstrates the purchase.

Statutory Consumer Rights

These commercial warranties are provided in addition to your statutory consumer rights.

Nothing in this warranty limits or replaces any rights you may have under applicable consumer law, including the right to receive a product that conforms to the purchase agreement.

Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, those rights may include repair, replacement, a price reduction or termination of the purchase agreement.
